History
2001:
Due to the adjustments of banks to Basel II there is a change to generally balance every single
credit with every single collateral security separately. An optimization of the cross collateralized
credit allocation (between credit and collateral) is especially helpful in complex and huge credit exposures.
2001 - 2002:
The optimization methods OCM is developed.
2002:
OCM is successfully tested at a customer site with productive data for the very fist time
2002:
Running and productive use of OCM for 68 different union banks. OCM is used for the registration (batch run).
2003:
First use of OCM with dialogs for credit applications
2004:
Complemented productive use of OCM for
• Registration (regulatory reporting)
• Processing credit applications (application dialogs)
• Internal controlling
• Processing credit applications (application dialogs)
• Internal controlling
2005:
Introduction of risk weighted optimizations for offsetting credits with collaterals as a preparation
for Basel II including the fist transfers of credit risk parameters to OCM. No new developments
necessary due to parameter-driven, flexible and mathematical algorithms.
2005 - 2006:
Further developments of OCM and a new integrated Basel II calculation core: Integration of credit risk rules for Basel II.
2006:
OCM is available as a fully completed optimization solution according all Basel II approach credit risk rules and regulations.
2006:
OCM runs with productive data within an IRB (Internal Rating Based) bank.
2007 - today:
Special enhancements based on customer requests. Optimizations for:
• Overdue debits (delinquencies)
• Spezial customized weightings
• Special credit applications
• Derivatives
• Basel III
• Etc.
